The process of linking together all the component segments of a DVD title is called authoring. This involves laying out multiple audio and video tracks after they have been encoded. This process also involves the generation of sub-titles, menus and any other interactive elements.
Downloads
CDT can receive almost any form of upload for a download. (The entire movie / album; Video TS files; Image files or DDP image files)
If an Image file is used; CDT would need to know what image file has been uploaded, i.e. Nero Image; Iso Image; Adobe encore image, as well as the password if the file is password protected.
For security purposed we would recommend that a DDP Image be uploaded as once the title has been downloaded, specialized software is required to extract the information.
CSS
CDT offers DVD copy protection – CSS – Content Scrambling System.
CSS prevents movies from being illegally duplicated, protecting the intellectual property of the manufacturers, producers and writers from theft. CSS is a two-part system for which manufacturers of both the movie content (discs) and hardware or software (players) purchase licenses. The information on DVD discs is encrypted. The DVD players - either a computer drive or a home video player - have technology to 'decrypt' the information so it can be viewed. CSS is flagged in Authoring and added in Pre-mastering.
